Staying fit is everyone’s dream. Given to the hectic lifestyle we tend to ignore on this aspect. However in the long run this ignorance gets us into many unwanted health related issues that could have been otherwise avoided easily. So keeping this aspect in mind its better that we take a little time out from our daily schedule and try to do some simple exercises at home to stay fit physically. To make it easier for you, we shall discuss about 3 short exercises you can do at home to keep fit.

  • Walking or jogging: Walking/jogging does wonders to your life. It keeps you fit and avoids all types of ailments. You can just walk around in your lawn/garden or around the house or in case you stay in an apartment you could even walk up and down the stairs a couple of times. Initially this might seem a little hectic and painful but as and how time passes you will notice the change in your body. It will increase your energy level and keep you active throughout your day.

  • Air Cycling: This exercise is recommended by many personal trainers as it tends to work on your thighs and calves. Many of us have to sit all day long given to our work environment and tend to put on weight on our abdomen and lower body. In such case this exercise would help you tone down your thighs and abdomen. The simple way to do this is to lie down on the ground and rotate your complete leg to and fro both in clockwise and anticlockwise direction just as you ride a bicycle. By doing this your thighs and calves will be tightened and your abdomen will also get toned.

  • Air boxing: This again is a kind of exercise that would work on your arms and breast. Many of us, especially the ladies suffer from loose arms. For such people air boxing is apt. Stand erect and imagine a boxing bag hung in front of you, now just start punching this imaginary bag. Repeat this 4-5 times in sets of 12-15. Increase the sets as and how you progress in your workout.

Apart from this, if you have more time on hand you could opt for yoga, basic cardio exercises, crunches, squats or even aerobics. It’s all about making your mind to stay fit, once it’s decided there then there’s no turning back. Remember that you sweat and toil all day long for a good life and this good life is only possible if you stay fit both physically and mentally.

Plan your schedule, work out every day and maintain it. This is the only open secret to healthy life. Stay fit and enjoy life.
